Man fatally shot in Montgomery County, police say
A man was fatally shot in Montgomery County, Maryland, on Saturday night, police said.
Montgomery County police responded to a report of shots fired in Silver Spring around 8:30 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Deandre Little, of Silver Spring. Police are still searching for the suspect or suspects responsible for the shooting.
“Detectives are in the early stages of the investigation and are working to determine the motive and any circumstances leading to the shooting,” Montgomery County Police said in a statement.
The shooting is the third homicide in Montgomery County this year, according to police.
