Detective searching for missing former X Factor contestant Levi Davis claims an arrest is imminent

A detective searching for missing former X Factor contestant Levi Davis has claimed that an arrest is imminent.

The Metropolitan Police leading the investigation into the disappearance of the 19-year-old singer have said that they have now made a breakthrough in the case.

Davis, who was a contestant on the 2017 series of X Factor, was last seen leaving a party in East London in the early hours of August 5th. He has not been seen or heard from since.

Detective Chief Superintendent Nicky Porter, who is leading the search, said that they had now narrowed down the investigation and that an arrest was imminent.

“We are now in a position where we have narrowed down our investigation to a small number of suspects and we can confirm that an arrest is imminent in the case,” she said.

“We are working around the clock to bring Levi home and to find out what happened to him and we are absolutely determined to find out the truth.”

The police have also appealed for anyone with information about the case to come forward.

“We would urge anyone who has seen or heard anything that could help us with our investigation to contact us. Any information could be vital to helping us bring Levi home safely,” said Porter.

The disappearance of Levi Davis has shocked the music industry and his family have said they are “devastated” at his disappearance. Friends of the singer have also taken to social media to urge anyone with information to come forward.

The police have now launched an urgent appeal for information and have asked anyone with any information to contact the police on 101.
