Paul has 29 and Clippers down Blazers 111-102

Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul scored a game-high 29 points to lead his team to a 111-102 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night.

Paul was in top form, shooting 11-of-20 from the floor, including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc, to go along with five rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Paul's performance was instrumental in the Clippers' successful attempt to avenge their loss to the Trail Blazers the previous week.

Paul was well supported by a balanced effort from the Clippers' young core, with forward Blake Griffin and center DeAndre Jordan both scoring 17 points. Griffin also had seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals, while Jordan added 11 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.

The Trail Blazers, meanwhile, were led by forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who put up a team-high 25 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Damian Lillard added 19 points and seven assists, while forward Nicolas Batum chipped in with 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists.

The Clippers held the Trail Blazers at bay throughout the game, leading by as many as 17 points in the fourth quarter. The Blazers were able to make a late push and close the gap to five with 1:06 left to play, but the Clippers were able to hold on for the victory.

With the win, the Clippers now hold a 2-1 lead in the season series against the Trail Blazers. The two teams will meet for their fourth and final regular season matchup on April 5th.
