As one of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time, Lewis Hamilton’s potential move to Ferrari could bring an incredible end to an already remarkable career.
The 35-year-old Mercedes driver is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a move to the iconic Italian marque.
Hamilton is a six-time world champion and has been with Mercedes since 2013, having previously spent his entire career with McLaren.
The Briton has established himself as one of the modern greats of the sport, and a move to Ferrari would be a fitting way for him to sign off his career.
The Scuderia have not won the drivers’ championship since Kimi Raikkonen in 2007 and are determined to end that drought, having seen their bitter rivals Mercedes dominate the sport in recent years.
Hamilton has been linked with a move to Ferrari as part of a swap deal which could see current Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc move in the opposite direction.
However, the Mercedes driver is in no hurry to sign a new contract and will take his time to make a decision.
Whilst a move to Ferrari could provide Hamilton with the ultimate challenge, it remains to be seen whether he will make the switch. If he does, it would be a beautiful conclusion to an already amazing career.
