Hawks top Wizards 114-107 to sweep 2-game set at Washington
The Atlanta Hawks traveled to the nation's capital and took care of business, topping the Washington Wizards 114-107 to sweep the two-game set.
The Hawks were led by Trae Young, who finished with a game-high 29 points. Young was unstoppable from the floor, shooting 10-of-19 from the field and 4-of-8 from beyond the arc. He also dished out 10 assists and grabbed four rebounds in the contest.
John Collins also had a big game for the Hawks, finishing with 25 points and eight rebounds. He was 8-of-13 from the field and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line.
The Hawks held a slim 57-54 lead at halftime but outscored the Wizards 57-53 in the second half to secure the victory.
Bradley Beal led the way for the Wizards with 24 points and eight assists. Russell Westbrook also had a solid game, finishing with 18 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.
The Hawks are now 7-3 on the season while the Wizards have dropped to 3-7. The Hawks will look to continue their winning ways when they host the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.
