Formula E race six: Talking points as title favourites chase Pascal Wehrlein in Brazil debut

The sixth race of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship saw the debut of the series in Brazil, and it was a race full of talking points.

The race was won by Pascal Wehrlein, who made his way to the top step of the podium after a well-fought battle with reigning champion Jean-Eric Vergne. Wehrlein was the only driver to finish on the lead lap, with his fellow title contenders Antonio Felix da Costa and Lucas di Grassi finishing in second and third places.

The race saw some close racing from the front runners, with Wehrlein and Vergne dicing for the lead for several laps before Vergne made a mistake and spun out. This allowed Wehrlein to take the victory and close the gap to the championship leader, Da Costa.

Wehrlein's victory was also a milestone for the series, as it was the first time a German driver had won a race in Formula E. The German driver will now hope to carry the momentum from this victory into the next round at Monaco.

Meanwhile, Vergne's mistake cost him vital points in the championship battle and saw him slip to fourth place in the standings. It was also a difficult race for Di Grassi, who was unable to make up any ground on his title rivals despite qualifying in second place.

With just four races remaining in the championship, the title race is heating up and the battle between Wehrlein, Da Costa and Di Grassi is sure to be an exciting one. It remains to be seen who will come out on top in the end, but one thing is for sure: the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is sure to be an exciting one until the very end.
