Man Utd urged to sign Jude Bellingham and send fierce message to Premier League rivals

Manchester United have been urged to sign Birmingham City wonderkid Jude Bellingham and send a fierce message to their Premier League rivals.

The 16-year-old sensation has been linked with several top European clubs, including United, with reports suggesting that the Old Trafford club have already tabled an offer for the highly-rated youngster.

And former United defender Gary Neville believes that signing Bellingham would be a major coup for the Red Devils, and would send a strong message to their rivals.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Neville said: “I think it's a really important signing for United because it sends a statement of intent to their rivals, who have made huge signings over the last few years.

“Jude Bellingham is a fantastic footballer and he's going to be a future star. He's already made a huge impact at Birmingham City and he's only 16.

“He's got great potential, he's a great talent and if he goes to United, it could be a real statement of intent.”

The Red Devils have already added Bruno Fernandes to their ranks this January and Neville believes that signing Bellingham would be the ideal way to continue their recent resurgence.

He added: “It's important that United keep improving and signing Bellingham would be another step forward in their progress.

“It would be a statement to the rest of the league that United are serious about getting back to the top and challenging for major honours.”

Bellingham is being tipped for a bright future and United's pursuit of the highly-rated youngster could be a sign of things to come for the Red Devils.
