European giants want to sign Lionel Messi in shock free transfer as he edges closer to PSG exit

Europe's top clubs are reportedly gearing up to make a shock move for Barcelona legend Lionel Messi, who is said to be edging closer to a free transfer away from the Spanish giants.

The 33-year-old's future at the Camp Nou has been the subject of much speculation in recent months, with reports suggesting he could be on the move this summer after his contract expires.

Now, according to reports in Spain, several of Europe's top clubs are making moves to secure the services of the Argentine, who has won an incredible 10 La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns during his time at Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan and AC Milan are all said to be interested in the six-time Ballon d'Or winner, who is said to be looking for a new challenge after his trophy-laden spell in Spain.

Messi's representatives are reportedly in talks with PSG, who are said to be keen to bring the superstar to the French capital, but the other two Italian clubs are said to be keen to offer him a move as well.

It would be an incredible signing for any of the clubs involved, and it would be a huge blow to Barcelona if they were to lose their talisman.

Despite his advancing years, Messi remains one of the world's best players and would be a welcome addition to any team.

Only time will tell which club will be able to offer him the right package to tempt him away from Barcelona, but one thing is for sure – Europe's top clubs are ready to make their move for the Argentine superstar.
