Granit Xhaka put in a strong display in midfield, with many believing he was the driving force behind Arsenal's creativity. The Swiss international was a real presence in the midfield, controlling the tempo of the game and creating chances for his teammates. His work rate and tenacity have been key to Arsenal's recent successes, and he is finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Meanwhile, Leo Trossard had a game to forget. The Belgian midfielder was largely ineffective throughout, with his poor decision making in the final third costing Arsenal dearly.
