Alejandro Garnacho reveals devastating injury update after Man Utd star spotted leaving Old Trafford on crutches

Alejandro Garnacho has revealed a devastating injury update after being spotted leaving Old Trafford on crutches.

The Manchester United star was seen leaving the club's stadium on crutches earlier this week, sparking fears that he had suffered a serious injury.

Now, the 23-year-old has released a statement confirming his injury, revealing that he is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Garnacho said: “I can confirm that I have suffered a serious injury which will require a lengthy period of rehabilitation.

“I am devastated by the news, but I am determined to come back stronger and I will work hard to make sure I can return to the pitch as soon as possible.”

The midfielder, who has made six appearances for Manchester United since joining from Real Madrid in 2020, is now facing a race against time to be fit for the start of the 2020/21 season.

The news will come as a blow to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his team, who have seen their Premier League title challenge falter in recent weeks.

Garnacho's absence could leave Manchester United short of options in midfield, and the club will be hoping that the Spaniard recovers from his injury as soon as possible.
