Start by preheating your oven to 350°F and greasing a 9×13-inch baking pan. In a medium bowl, mix together the following ingredients: 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of white sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of melted butter, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of cocoa powder and 1 can of Heinz tomato soup. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. To test for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is done.
