Phillip Schofield, the beloved television presenter of This Morning, has made a powerful statement as he disowns his brother, Tim Schofield, who was found guilty of child sex abuse in 2017.

In a post on his social media, the presenter said he could no longer have Tim in his life, writing: “I have no brother.”

The news was made public in court proceedings, where Tim Schofield was found guilty of four counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 16. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Phillip Schofield has been vocal in his condemnation of Tim's actions, and has now taken to social media to make his position clear.

In his statement, the presenter wrote: “I have no brother. My parents had four children and I am the only one left. I cannot condone or excuse any form of abuse.”
