Phillip Schofield to be absent from This Morning for another two weeks
Phillip Schofield is set to be absent from This Morning for another two weeks as his brother continues to battle with an illness.
The This Morning presenter, 58, had been absent from the show for the past week, with his brother Tim, 60, suffering a mystery condition.
Schofield took to Twitter over the weekend to thank fans for their support and explain his sudden absence from the show.
He wrote: “As some of you may already know, Tim, my much loved brother, is very unwell and so I’m taking a few days off to be with him and my family and I’d like to thank everyone at This Morning for their incredible understanding.”
The ITV presenter is now expected to be absent from the show for another two weeks, as his brother continues to receive medical treatment.
ITV have confirmed that they will not be replacing Schofield while he is away and have wished him and his family well during this difficult time.
A spokesperson for ITV said: “We wish Phillip and his family well and look forward to him returning to This Morning soon.”
Schofield is expected to return to This Morning in two weeks time.
