Elle Fanning reveals wearing a prosthetic baby bump made her want to be pregnant
Actor Elle Fanning has revealed how wearing a prosthetic baby bump for a recent movie role made her want to be a mother.
The 21-year-old star, who recently starred in the movie Teen Spirit, said she was surprised at how real the experience felt while wearing the fake bump.
Fanning said she was surprised at the difference wearing the prosthetic made to her perception of pregnancy. She said: “It was interesting because I had to wear a prosthetic baby bump for the movie and I was like, ‘Oh, I want to be pregnant!' It was so weird. It felt very real.”
The actor said that while she was not ready to become a mother yet, the experience made her think more seriously about it. She said: “It wasn’t like I was ready to do it, but it made me think about it more. It was a strange experience, but it was fun.”
Fanning is currently single and has yet to start a family of her own. However, the actor said she is open to the idea in the future and is looking forward to the next chapter of her life.
The actor's comments come after she recently opened up about her struggles with anxiety, which she said have been made worse by the pressures of Hollywood. Fanning said she is now working on managing her stress levels and said the prosthetic baby bump was a great reminder of the joys of motherhood.
